Amara Gel Full Face Mask With Headgear by Philips Respironics

Prefer a softer and more secure traditional full face cushion? The Philips Respironics Amara Gel Full Face Mask is definitely what you need.

Featuring a dual-wall gel cushion, the mask contours to your face and creates a comfortable seal around the nose and mouth, perfect for those with sensitive skin.

With four Velcro straps, the headgear offers an easily customizable fit. Once you’ve adjusted the fit, simply press the quick-release headgear clips onto the frame to put the mask back on.

The forehead support can also be adjusted in small increments. Just press and hold the button to slide it toward or away from your face.

Attaching the cushion to the frame is easy, thanks to the frame’s one-click design. The frame is designed to be compatible with all gel cushion sizes, so you can save time and money when switching between cushion sizes.

What is the difference between the Philips Amara Gel and Amara full face masks?

The difference between the Amara Gel and the Amara full face masks lies in the material of the cushion. The Amara Gel Full Face Mask features a gel cushion while the Amara Full Face Mask comes with a silicone cushion.

Can I use a different type of cushion with the Amara Gel Full Face Mask?

Yes, the Amara Gel Full Face Mask is also compatible with the Amara silicone full face cushion.

How often should I replace my Amara Gel Full Face Mask?

To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.

The cushion may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months to ensure an optimal seal.

My Philips Amara Gel CPAP mask is leaking. What should I do?
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose and mouth.
  2. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  3. Ensure you're wearing your Amara Gel mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide or the video below. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  4. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  5. Try a larger or smaller cushion or headgear size.
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

I bought this for my family member. This mask is soft, but the air leak is not preventable. I have to buy a different one.

This is the most comfortable cushion I've had - with a better frame I'd give it five stars.

I found the mask to work well, with little leakage. I do have difficulty with the top strap slot. For some reason, the slot is split in the middle and the strap comes out too easily.

I was given this strap and mask with my unit from a medical supply store and it makes a great difference in my rest. However I needed a new one and it would cost me over $150 at same supply store so I searched on line. Im very pleased with my product and it was cheaper in price for same quality at supply store.
