FlexiFit 431 Full Face Mask by Fisher & Paykel
Cleverly designed to ensure leak-free therapy, the Fisher & Paykel FlexiFit 431 Full Face CPAP Mask is a comfortable alternative to nasal masks and chin straps.
It incorporates a unique under-the-chin cushion design, keeping your mouth closed and delivering a stable seal, regardless of jaw movement.
Featuring FlexiFit technology, the silicone cushion adjusts to the unique contours of your face. The Glider Strap keeps the cushion in place, allowing for head movements without affecting your seal.
With multiple adjustment points, the FlexiFit headgear conveniently fits most head sizes. Plus, there’s no need for further adjustments after the initial mask setup. Thanks to the Easy-Release headgear strap, putting the mask back on only requires reattaching the headgear clip to the frame.
Compatible with CPAP and BiPAP machines from all manufacturers. AirMini users will need an AirMini Tubing Connector Adapter and a non-heated hose to use this mask.
How do I clean my F&P FlexiFit 431 Full Face Mask?
Weekly cleaning: headgear
Daily cleaning: frame, cushion, elbow, non-rebreathing valve
- Disassemble the mask.
- Soak the mask parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking for more than 10 minutes.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear.
- Lay parts out to air dry away from direct sunlight.
How often should I replace my FlexiFit 431 Full Face Mask?
To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
My FlexiFit 431 CPAP mask is leaking. What should I do?
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose and mouth.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your FlexiFit 431 mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.
If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.
