Extended Warranty Terms & Conditions

These Extended Warranty Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the RespShop Extended Warranty Program ("Extended Warranty"). By purchasing an Extended Warranty, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

The RespShop Extended Warranty is available only for eligible CPAP and BiPAP devices approved by RespShop.

To qualify:

The machine must be eligible for the program.
The Extended Warranty must be purchased while the machine remains within the original manufacturer's warranty period.
The Extended Warranty is linked to one specific machine and its serial number.
RespShop reserves the right to verify warranty eligibility before activation.

RespShop may refuse enrollment if eligibility cannot be verified.

2. Coverage Period

The Extended Warranty begins immediately after the manufacturer's warranty expires.

Coverage continues only for the period purchased.

Available coverage options include:

Year 3
Years 3–4
Years 3–5

Certain machines with longer manufacturer warranties may have different coverage start dates. These will be communicated at the time of purchase.

3. What Is Covered

During the Extended Warranty period, RespShop will repair or replace covered machines that experience failures resulting from normal residential use.

Covered failures include:

Mechanical failures
Electrical failures
Internal component failures
Defects in materials
Defects in workmanship
Failures occurring during normal operation
Excessive or abnormal motor or machine noise resulting from mechanical failure or excessive wear
Motor life expectancy warnings or end-of-motor-life errors, subject to RespShop inspection and verification

Coverage applies only after RespShop confirms that the reported issue qualifies under this warranty.

4. What Is Not Covered

The Extended Warranty does not cover damage or failures caused by:

Water damage or liquid intrusion
Accidental damage
Drops or impact damage
Abuse, misuse, or neglect
Improper storage or transportation
Unauthorized repairs or modifications
Failure to follow the manufacturer's operating instructions
Fire, flood, natural disasters, or other external events
Theft or loss
Cosmetic damage that does not affect machine performance
Normal consumable items, including:

Filters
Tubing
Masks
Humidifier chambers
Other replaceable accessories

RespShop reserves the right to determine whether damage resulted from a covered failure or an excluded cause.

5. Claims Process

To request service under the Extended Warranty:

Contact RespShop before the Extended Warranty expires.
Provide the requested information regarding the issue.
Follow RespShop's shipping instructions once the claim has been approved.

A warranty claim is considered opened on the date RespShop receives the initial claim request.

6. Shipping Requirements

Once a claim has been approved, the covered machine must be shipped to RespShop within 15 calendar days.

Failure to ship the machine within this period may result in claim denial.

For approved warranty claims, RespShop will cover reasonable inbound and outbound shipping costs using its designated shipping method.

7. Repair or Replacement

RespShop will determine whether a machine will be repaired or replaced.

If replacement is necessary, RespShop may provide, at its sole discretion:

A repaired unit
A refurbished machine
An equivalent replacement
A comparable current-generation model with similar or greater functionality

Replacement of the exact same model is not guaranteed.

8. Discontinued Products

If the original machine is no longer manufactured or available, RespShop may replace it with a refurbished, equivalent, or newer model offering similar functionality.

9. Warranty After Replacement

If a replacement machine is provided, the Extended Warranty continues only for the remaining portion of the original warranty term.

The warranty period does not restart.

10. Claim Limits

Each Extended Warranty is limited to a maximum of two (2) approved claims during the purchased coverage period.

RespShop reserves the right to deny additional claims once this limit has been reached.

11. Warranty Transfers

RespShop may, at its sole discretion, permit a one-time transfer of the Extended Warranty to another eligible machine purchased from RespShop.

Approved transfers:

Are subject to verification.
Do not extend or restart the warranty period.
Apply only to the remaining coverage term.

RespShop is under no obligation to approve transfer requests.

12. Cancellation & Refunds

The Extended Warranty may be cancelled for a full refund if no claims have been made and the manufacturer's warranty has not yet expired.

Once Extended Warranty coverage has begun (following expiration of the manufacturer's warranty), the Extended Warranty becomes non-refundable.

RespShop reserves the right to deny refund requests after coverage has commenced or after any warranty claim has been submitted.

13. Limitations

The Extended Warranty:

Is not an insurance policy.
Covers only the machine specifically registered under the warranty.
Does not cover commercial or rental use unless expressly approved by RespShop.
Applies only within the countries serviced by RespShop.

14. Limitation of Liability

RespShop's obligations under this Extended Warranty are limited exclusively to the repair or replacement of the covered machine as described in these Terms.

RespShop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of use, inconvenience, lost income, or loss of therapy.
