The Fisher & Paykel Oracle 452 Oral CPAP Mask offers the perfect alternative to all other mask types. It comes complete with nasal plugs, which you can choose to wear to get used to mouth breathing.

Featuring a unique mouthpiece cushion, the Oracle delivers airflow through your mouth instead of your nose. Keeping the SoftSeal silicone cushion in place is a single-strap headgear, providing an open line of sight, so you can wear glasses or watch TV in bed. 

Setting up your Oracle 452 Oral CPAP Mask is a breeze. After clipping the headgear onto the mouthpiece, place the mouthpiece behind your lips and in front of your teeth.

Then, fit the outside flap into the mouthpiece and fold it over your lips. This should keep the device in place without touching or blocking your tongue.

Getting your fit right is just as easy with the rotating adjustment dial. To remove the Oracle, simply pull the Easy-Release Cord on the headgear.

Oracle 452 - oral face mask for CPAP.
The box arrived looking in fine condition. However there is a missing component that connects the short tube ( elbow end) to the mouth piece. The end fitsts into the mouth piece and falls right out again.

The instructions are mostly pictures and not very clear pictures because they are so small.

Customer Service got back to me in a few days and asked for pictures which I provided. I called customer service and Patty was so kind and helpful. A new mask will be sent out - we are crossing our fingers that the missing component is in the new box.

I like the idea of this mask, but the way that the inner seal connects to the mask becomes uncomfortable very quickly. The hard plastic inner frame piece stays in between my front teeth, and eventually I will lose a tooth or bite through it. Wearing the mask improperly alleviates this, but I can't recommend intentionally wearing the mask improperly.

i like the mask but i have a hard time going to sleep with it on but that is just me the mask works just fine

Cela va faire une ann�e que j'utilise ce masque oral de Fisher and Paykel, en combinaison avec l'auto-CPAP Icon de Fisher and Paykel.
Je suis ravie de ce masque oral, m�me si je l'utilise � ma fa�on!

Voici les points +++
- Facilit� d'emploi: masque peu encombrant, non invasif
- Pas de sentiment de "masque", ni d'�touffement
- Pas d'envahissement de toute la figure
- Sangle autour de la t�te non n�cessaire durant l'utilisation nocturne.
- Pas de difficult�s � dormir sur les c�t�s, ou sur le dos

Voici le seul point n�gatif
- Les embouts nasaux fournis ne sont pas efficaces: ils laissent passer l'air!

Solution trouv�e+++
- En lieu et place des embouts nasaux, j'utilise des "bouchons pour oreilles", en mousse ( marque 3M)
- En plus, pour que l'air ne passe pas du tout, j'y ajoute un morceau de pansement transparent, d�coup� � la bonne taille, de la marque Comfeel ( 3536)
- J'utilise aussi le tube thermochauffant pr�vu par Fisher and Paykel .
- Pour parfaire le tout, avant d'aller dormir, j'emploie un gel buccal hydratant.

Conclusions +++
- Avec ces adaptations, tout va bien!
- Plus d'apn�es, plus de r�veils nocturnes
- Pas d'ennuis de bouche s�che
- Et pour ne rien g�cher, un nez parfaitement d�gag� en journ�e... ( Ce que je n'avais jamais avant!)

Ce masque vaut qu'on s'y int�resse et qu'on l'adapte � sa fa�on! je lui mets 4 �toiles ( � cause des embouts nasaux non efficaces)

How do I clean my F&P Oracle 452 Oral Mask?

Weekly cleaning: headgear

Daily cleaning: silicone seal, SnapFlap Cover

  1. Disassemble the mask.
  2. Soak the mask parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking for more than 10 minutes.
  3. Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear. 
  4. Lay parts out to air dry away from direct sunlight.

The silicone seal can also be soaked in a solution of water (1L) and mouthwash (50 ml) for 10 minutes. Rinse well and air dry away from direct sunlight.

The diffuser does not require washing. Replace it every 2-3 months or when it becomes noisy or damaged.
How often should I replace my Oracle 452 Oral CPAP Mask?

To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.
My Oracle 452 CPAP mask is leaking. What should I do?
  1. If the mask leaks around your teeth, tighten the SnapFlap Cover by rotating the dial. 
  2. Try the larger silicone seal. 
  3. Ensure you're wearing your Oracle 452 mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way
  4. you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  5. Wear the optional headgear and adjust as necessary. 
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

Why do I need a heated humidifier with the Oracle 452 Oral Mask? 

A heated humidifier is highly recommended because your mouth doesn't naturally heat and humidify air like your nose does. Breathing through your mouth bypasses this process, making a humidifier essential for comfort.
Do I need to use the nasal plugs included with my Oracle 452 mask?

It’s recommended to use nasal plugs for the first two weeks to train your body to breathe through your mouth.

After two weeks, you can stop using the nasal plugs. If you choose not to use them, replace the non-rebreathing valve with the included swivel.
