  1. Turn off and unplug the nebulizer compressor.

  3. Detach the mouthpiece or mask from the nebulizer cap. Then, remove the cap from the medication cup and take out the baffle.

  6. Let all parts air dry completely before reassembly.
Do I need to disinfect the disposable nebulizer?

Disinfecting your nebulizer (reusable and disposable) daily adds an extra layer of protection that helps further reduce the risk of infection.

  1. Disassemble the nebulizer.
  2. Soak all parts (except the tubing) in a solution of 3 parts hot water to 1 part white vinegar for 30 minutes. You can also use a bacterial-germicidal disinfectant solution following the manufacturer's instructions.
  3. With clean hands, remove the nebulizer parts and rinse them thoroughly under hot tap water.
  4. Let all parts air dry completely before reassembly.
  5. Store the nebulizer in a clean, sealed bag.
