CPAP Warranty Expired? Accidental CPAP Damage?

Respshop.com offers CPAP machine repair services on select models of ResMed, Philips Respironics, HDM Z1/Z2, and Somnetics Transcend CPAP Machines.

PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT take insurance as a form of payment.

Because many international CPAPs use different machine parts that are not available in the US, we only repair machines originally sold in the US. Some machines sold in Canada are repairable, but please contact us first before you ship them to us.

FAQ

When Should I Consider Getting My CPAP Repaired?
Sometimes, it's obvious: it doesn't turn on, its screen is dark, it makes loud noises, or it stops unexpectedly. Sometimes, it's not obvious: its pressure is inaccurate or it's slightly noisier than usual. Usually, these defects are caused by worn motors, defective sensors, water leaks, or accidental drops. Having your CPAP repaired on time will help improve your sleep quality.

Who Pays For Shipping?
You will need to ship the defective machine to us. Respshop will cover the shipping from our office to you.
*We do not cover international shipping

What If The Machine Is Not Repairable?
The $99 can be used towards the purchase of a new CPAP machine if the CPAP machine repair cannot be processed or the cost is not effective for the owner. The defective machine will then be shipped back to the customer.

Can I Have A Temporary-Use CPAP While My Machine Is Being Repaired?
We have the CPAP Rental Service that you can consider.

Do You Fix CPAPs If My Machine is Purchased Elsewhere?
Yes, as long as it is purchased in the US.

Is There A Cost If My CPAP Is Under Manufacturer Warranty And Purchased Elsewhere?
If the machine was purchased from another US dealer, we charge $99 for the processing fee. Manufacturers replace or repair warranty machines for free (if under warranty and confirmed manufacturer defects).

Do You Fix CPAP Humidifiers?
We usually don't recommend humidifier repairs because it is not cost-effective. You can purchase from here.

Does The Repaired Machine Have Warranty?
1 year - only for newly replaced parts.

CPAP Machine Repair Costs

The initial $99 processing fee provides a full machine diagnostic, the repair quote, and covers the shipping cost of sending the machine back to you. If the machine diagnosis shows your machine is repairable, there will be a labor and parts charge for the repair. Before we start to fix the machine, we will send you a quote. We will need your consent before we fix the machine.
A typical CPAP repair (labor and parts) costs between $200-500, not including the processing fee.

5 of 5 Stars!

I have been a cpap user for about 10 years now and the machine I have been using finally went out on me. I was searching around for a company that would take my machine in and have it repaired but all I have been getting were replies like "sorry your machine has been discontinued and we cant have it serviced or repaired." I was in a jam and couldn't find anything. I came across this "Out of warranty repair service" on Google and I called and asked about it.

Thanks to the fantastic customer service reps, they were able to help me and get my machine serviced for a $100 deposit. Unfortunately because my machine is so old, I wasn't able to get it repaired :( BUT! by using this service I was able to use that $100 deposit towards a new machine or get that money refunded back to me. Of course I used it towards a new machine. Now I have the System one Auto cpap machine by Philips and I could be happier. Thanks RespShop!

Very impressed with close contact regarding my travel machine. I was notified via email when my machine was received. I received a phone call with a question to aid in repair process. I don’t feel the machine has been lost in space, especially since I’m under time constraints for upcoming trip. Thanks respshop!

Question
During a house move, someone packed my ResMed Airsense 10 without draining the water. Now it no longer works normally. I assume that water seeped into the circuitry. I plan to dry it out. Is it possible to salvage the device?
Answer
You can send it in for a repair quote and we can take a look to see if this is something ResMed can repair. Check out our repair options here: https://www.respshop.com/services/cpap-repair-p-543.html

No, we do not as Philips is not accepting any machines for repair currently.
Question
I got a ResMed AirStart 10 from RespShop in 2014, which is a manual version of the ResMed AirSense 10. I now get Error 006, which the ResMed site says is a faulty motor or main PCB.

Are these machines similar enough so my AirStart 10 can be repaired with parts from the AirSense 10?
Answer
Hello Honesto,
Since your CPAP is 9 years old, it may be best to look into a new CPAP machine with the new motor. Fault 006 is a motor issue. Repairing this may cost more than replacing it. Give us a call at 1866 936 3654, we have some amazing promos on the Airsense 10 today.
Question
My Resmed cpap machine has a sign “ Attention Motor Life exceeded, contact your service provider.” My machine is ten years old, I didn’t know I have to change it every 5 years. I am not going to go to a new sleep apnea study again, I preferred repair it!!! To me it work perfectly.
Answer
Please contact our medical team and we will be happy to help you with that sign. 1-866-936-3754
Question
I have a Phillips REMstar Auto A-flex the machine light keeps flashing and will not come on.
Answer
Sorry to hear that. Your CPAP is an older model and is no longer on the repair list by the manufacturer. It appears it is time for you to get a new CPAP.
Question
I have a BiPAP RESMED 10 I need to replace the motor because has more than 5 yrs of use .How much cost the repair .thanks for your help .
Answer
Hi there, the cost varies, but the repairs usually average between $300-$900 depending on the service. How it works is we send the unit to ResMed, they will send a quote on the cost of repair. If you decide to pay it, then they will repair it and send it back to you. If you decide against the device will be sent back to you as is.
Question

Answer
Sorry, we don't offer repairs on the DreamStation 2. I apologize for any inconvenience!
Question
I have a Z1 machine which is about 6 years old. On my recent trip it quit running and showed an error 33. This machine has been used about thirty times in the six years I’ve owned it. From the info I’ve gathered it seems to be consensus that this is caused by the internal battery. Is this likely, and what would it cost to fix?
Answer
Hello,
Error 33 means the internal battery for memory has stopped working and can no longer save data in its memory. Unfortunately, this can't be fixed.
Question
I have a Z2 travel cap. The silicone piece attached to the machine is torn. It is the place where you put the tube adapter. Is it possible for you to replace that small silicone piece?
Answer
Please contact our office and we will be happy to help you with your question.
