CPAP Warranty Expired? Accidental CPAP Damage?

Respshop.com offers CPAP machine repair services on select models of ResMed, Philips Respironics, HDM Z1/Z2, and Somnetics Transcend CPAP Machines.

PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT take insurance as a form of payment.

Because many international CPAPs use different machine parts that are not available in the US, we only repair machines originally sold in the US. Some machines sold in Canada are repairable, but please contact us first before you ship them to us.

FAQ

When Should I Consider Getting My CPAP Repaired?
Sometimes, it's obvious: it doesn't turn on, its screen is dark, it makes loud noises, or it stops unexpectedly. Sometimes, it's not obvious: its pressure is inaccurate or it's slightly noisier than usual. Usually, these defects are caused by worn motors, defective sensors, water leaks, or accidental drops. Having your CPAP repaired on time will help improve your sleep quality.

Who Pays For Shipping?
You will need to ship the defective machine to us. Respshop will cover the shipping from our office to you.
*We do not cover international shipping

What If The Machine Is Not Repairable?
The $99 can be used towards the purchase of a new CPAP machine if the CPAP machine repair cannot be processed or the cost is not effective for the owner. The defective machine will then be shipped back to the customer.

Can I Have A Temporary-Use CPAP While My Machine Is Being Repaired?
We have the CPAP Rental Service that you can consider.

Do You Fix CPAPs If My Machine is Purchased Elsewhere?
Yes, as long as it is purchased in the US.

Is There A Cost If My CPAP Is Under Manufacturer Warranty And Purchased Elsewhere?
If the machine was purchased from another US dealer, we charge $99 for the processing fee. Manufacturers replace or repair warranty machines for free (if under warranty and confirmed manufacturer defects).

Do You Fix CPAP Humidifiers?
We usually don't recommend humidifier repairs because it is not cost-effective. You can purchase from here.

Does The Repaired Machine Have Warranty?
1 year - only for newly replaced parts.

CPAP Machine Repair Costs

The initial $99 processing fee provides a full machine diagnostic, the repair quote, and covers the shipping cost of sending the machine back to you. If the machine diagnosis shows your machine is repairable, there will be a labor and parts charge for the repair. Before we start to fix the machine, we will send you a quote. We will need your consent before we fix the machine.
A typical CPAP repair (labor and parts) costs between $200-500, not including the processing fee.

5 of 5 Stars!

I have been a cpap user for about 10 years now and the machine I have been using finally went out on me. I was searching around for a company that would take my machine in and have it repaired but all I have been getting were replies like "sorry your machine has been discontinued and we cant have it serviced or repaired." I was in a jam and couldn't find anything. I came across this "Out of warranty repair service" on Google and I called and asked about it.

Thanks to the fantastic customer service reps, they were able to help me and get my machine serviced for a $100 deposit. Unfortunately because my machine is so old, I wasn't able to get it repaired :( BUT! by using this service I was able to use that $100 deposit towards a new machine or get that money refunded back to me. Of course I used it towards a new machine. Now I have the System one Auto cpap machine by Philips and I could be happier. Thanks RespShop!

Very impressed with close contact regarding my travel machine. I was notified via email when my machine was received. I received a phone call with a question to aid in repair process. I don’t feel the machine has been lost in space, especially since I’m under time constraints for upcoming trip. Thanks respshop!

Question
my bipap. is leaking water is it common its a ResMed AirCurve 10 serial number 23171903730 Catalog Number 37051. Batch Number 1251007 Device Number 145
Answer
Hi, no this is not common and I would suggest that you change the water chamber in your cpap to see if that helps. The chamber should be changed every 3-6 months. Thank you
Question
I have a ResMed airsense 10 the heating element is not working can I buy a heating element plate from you.
thanks rick
Answer
Hello Rick, Unfortunley that is not a piece we carry. The machines are not repaired in house. But diagnosed and repaired by ResMed.
Question
I live 5 miles from your shipping address and I have diagnosed the problem (noise) to be the motor assembly. Can I just swing by your shop to get it swapped out? Approximate cost?
Answer
Hi there, this is a repair service and your device would actually have to be shipped out for the diagnostic repair. You can pay for the repair service online, and then bring the device to our office with your Invoice number. The $99 covers the diagnostic testing, and the shipping back to you after the repair. A quote will be provided to you once the diagnostic is done so that you can review and decide if you wish to pay for the repair or to decline. The device will be sent back to you afterwards. If you have any further questions please give us a call at 866-936-3754.
Question
Hello,
I have a Res Med S8 Elite II that is very noisy (fan like noise) now. Pressure is still okay and seems to work correctly other than that. Are you able to service/repair this model?
Thank you.
Answer
Hello,
Unfortunately we are not able to repair the S8 as it is quite old. CPAP machines usually last 5 years and I would recommend looking into getting a newer model because it will be easier for you to find parts for a newer machine.
Question
AS 10 is 5 years old. Very little use. The in & out breathing is not real smooth. Too much pulsing. My other machines are much smother & easier on my lungs. Serious problem?
Answer
Hi there, your other machines may have been made by a different manufacturer which has their own specific algorithms to treat sleep apnea. ResMed for the AS10 has that pulsing like sensation to help a patient trigger a breath. This may be what you're feeling in the night. There could also be an issue with your mask as well. You may want to give ResMed a call to discuss. If they are concerned I would suggest sending it in for a diagnostic review/repair - ResMed 1-800-424-0737, you can ask for technical support.
Question
Machine still makes air but makes a loud noise!
Answer
Here is our repair program that you can review and see if you would like to purchase. https://www.respshop.com/more-products/cpap-services/cpap-machine-repair-service-p-543.html This will also let you know what units we will repair as well.
Question
Hi, my airsense has an odor coming from it, that makes it uncomfortable to useI was told it may mean bacteria may be inside of it, from when It was stored for a long time with the humidifier still connected to it. Is this something you can repair?
Answer
I would suggest purchasing a new humidifier.
Question
Hello I have Resmed airsence 10 the brick will light green when I plug it into the wall then I plug it into the Cpap machine it shuts off and the unit doesn’t power up looking at repair
Answer
Yes we do offer repairs on the AirSense 10! Average turnaround period is 3-6 weeks and after the $99 diagnostic and shipping fee there is typically a repair quote of around $250.
Question
It feels like air coming out is weak. When I first got the machine. I would put me hand over the mask tube where the air come out and the air would feel stronger. Also I can feel myself snoring with the mask on
Answer
To get started on a repair order, it is always best to call in so that we can initiate everything correctly. The number is 866-936-3754
Question
My machine says "SERVICE IS REQUIRED WITH AN ALARM".
Answer
If your machine was purchased through RespShop feel free to call us at 866 936 3754, we can check to see if the machine is under warranty. Otherwise you can check with your original provider. You can also submit it in for $99 for us to send it ResMed to see what the issue is and quote you a price to repair. The service required can be a multitude of issues. If your unit is over 5 years old, it might be the motor has exceed and you might want to look into a new CPAP.
