An air belt can be purchased as an additional power source to help lengthen the life of the Freestyle oxygen concentrator for longer day trips.

The AirSep oxygen concentrator can also run off of a cars DC power adapter for longer road trips. During at home use, the Freestyle has a power supply that will run consistently. An optional air belt can be purchased which will extend the battery life and allow you to go on all day trips with consistent oxygen. On setting one you can expect three and a half hours of battery power with an additional six and a half hours from the air belt allowing for ten hours of consistent oxygen during use. Higher settings will result in a shorter battery life, with a combined six hours on setting two and five hours on setting three if you have both the battery and air belt.

FAQ

Do I need to tell my airline that I will be bringing an oxygen concentrator on board?

We recommend that you always let your airline know ahead of time that you will carrying and using your Freestyle 3 Portable Oxygen Concentrator during flight. You should also let Amtrak or any other travel companies know if you are using alternative methods to travel than flying.

Does the air belt come with my purchase?

No, the air belt is purchased separately. If you are planning to take longer trips during the day without having access to a power source, you should look into purchasing the air belt so you can extend the usage time.

Good equipment.
Unit supplies oxygen on demand.
One has to remember to breath through the nose. If a sleep and one suddenly starts breathing through the mouth the alarm will go off (No demand for some time). This will wake you up and your partner if in the room. Switching the alarm off one has to open the plastic protection lid and press the numbered button twice to reset. Not easy and quick when very sleepy.

Noise level is acceptable.

Power transformer is somewhat under rated, when the power gets warm/hot it does not function fully and the unit switches to battery mode, i.e. one starts draining the battery while still on power supply. (Room for improvement)

Unit works well in airplane (I had power supply) but as mentioned with the alarm, other passengers and service staff can get nervous.
