Pilairo Q Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask by Fisher & Paykel
Designed with user comfort and compatibility in mind, the Fisher & Paykel Pilairo Q Nasal Pillow Mask is one of the lightest and easiest to assemble CPAP masks available. With only three major parts, the Fisher & Paykel Pilairo Q is easy to maintain and even simpler to fit.
AirPillow Seal
The Pilairo Q’s nasal pillow cushion - called the AirPillow Seal - is designed to move with you, allowing you to change positions without worrying about air leaks. The AirPillow Seal inflates with pressure from your CPAP machine and creates a double seal in and around the nose.
Fisher & Paykel designed the AirPillow Seal to be one-size-fits-all. Fitting the Pilairo Q is as easy as spreading the side wings of the nasal pillow cushion and placing the cushion into your nose. Then secure the headgear of your choice and let your CPAP machine inflate the AirPillow Seal for a snug yet gentle fit.
Two Headgear Options
The Pilairo Q Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask is available with two headgear options for maximum comfort. Users can choose from the extremely lightweight Stretchable Headgear or the Adjustable Headgear for a more solid fit.
The Stretchwise Headgear consists of an elastic strap that rests on the back of the head. The Adjustable Headgear consists of three adjustment points - one on the crown of the head and two on the sides of the face. This multipoint design allows for a more stable and customized fit which active sleepers may prefer.
Both types of headgear are designed with minimal straps and an optimal number of adjustment points. Both connect to the same mask frame.
These two headgear options allow the Fisher & Paykel Pilairo Q to fit a wide range of head sizes and facial structures. The absence of multiple headgear and nasal pillow sizes takes the guesswork out of mask fitting so you don’t have to keep going back to the drawing board.
Quiet, Powerful Performance
The Pilairo Q represents an innovation in quiet technology. Fisher & Paykel added a replaceable diffuser to the front of the mask which disperses airflow to reduce noise and draft. The diffuser sits in the front of the mask, under a removable plastic Q Cover.
The mask can be worn with and without the diffuser. However, the diffuser should be replaced every 2 to 3 months to control bacterial growth. Replacing it regularly also ensures the Pilairo Q continues to operate as quietly as it's designed to.
Keeping with the Pilairo Q's focus on compatibility and ease of use, Fisher & Paykel has made the diffuser replaceable, eliminating another part you'd have to clean regularly. Five replacement diffusers come with the Pilairo Q Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask.

FAQ
How do I know what size I need?
The Fisher & Paykel Pilairo Q Nasal Pillow Mask comes in one size that is designed to fit most CPAP users comfortably. Two different types of headgear come with the mask so you can choose the most comfortable style.
Are there a lot of parts that require cleaning and regular maintenance?
The Pilairo Q Nasal Pillow Mask comes with only 3 parts that require cleaning and maintenance: the frame, nasal pillow cushion, and headgear. The mask is easy to disassemble and put back together. Please refer to the user manual for detailed instructions.
Is the mask loud?
The Pilairo Q is designed specifically to ensure that airflow is directed away from the user and bed partner. This reduces noise and minimizes any disturbances. The Q stands for quiet.
I sleep with my mouth open. Is this a good CPAP mask for me?
Yes and no. You can use the Pilairo Q Nasal Pillow Mask even if you breathe through your mouth at night. However, you will need a chin strap to help keep your mouth closed so the pressure from your CPAP machine doesn’t rush out through your open mouth.
That said, some people prefer to sleep without a chin strap. If your mouth tends to fall open at night and you would prefer not to use a chin strap, then the Pilairo Q isn’t for you. We recommend trying one of our full face masks instead.
Comparison: Old vs New

The Pilairo Q includes two lightweight and flexible headgear options to make finding the right fit easier. The Pilairo Q CPAP mask also comes with a diffuser for a quieter night's rest.
