The AirFit P30i Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask from ResMed is here for you to take back your sleep. With an unique, hollow silicone frame and soft silicone pillows that seal gently in your nostrils, the P30i is designed for comfortable and effective CPAP therapy. This nasal pillow CPAP mask features a top-of-the-head tubing connection, flexible ribbed silicone frame and comes in Starter Packs with multiple nasal pillow sizes to reduce sizing inconveniences.

Freedom to Move, Breathe, and See
The AirFit P30i features a top-of-the-head hose connection which gives users the freedom to sleep in any position, including on their stomachs. Vent ports on the elbow connector, located on top of the head in the center of the frame, allow carbon dioxide removal when the front of the mask is buried in a pillow. The 360 degree rotating elbow connector lets you toss and turn without fear of dislodging your mask and breaking the seal.

One of the standout features of the ResMed AirFit P30i is its open-faced design that allows users to comfortably read or watch TV in bed. This design also reduces bulkiness in front of the face which helps reduce feelings of claustrophobia that can make CPAP therapy challenging.

ResMed's AirFit P30i Nasal Pillow Mask features its proprietary QuietAir Vent technology which reduces airflow noise to just 21 decibels. To put this in perspective, the sound of rustling leaves is 20 decibels and the sound of birds calling is 40 decibels.

The P30i's QuietAir vent is located on the front of the nasal pillow cushion. The vent diffuses exhaled air in multiple directions, reducing noise to ensure a quiet and peaceful sleep environment for both the user and their bed partner.

Tailored Fit
The ResMed AirFit P30i is designed to provide a secure fit with its ribbed, accordion-style frame, adjustable headgear straps and multiple sizing options. The accordion-style frame can stretch to provide a bit of extra length when needed and the ribbed pattern prevents the frame from slipping. The headgear is adjustable via Velcro straps on the sides of the head.

To ensure the best fit possible, the P30i is available in two frame sizes (Standard/Small) and three nasal pillow sizes (S/M/L). There are no restrictions on frame/nasal pillow compatibility.

Modular Design
The ResMed P30i Nasal Pillow Mask has a modular design that allows for easy replacement and customization of its parts. Users can easily detach the frame, nasal pillows and headgear to replace parts and even swap out the P30i nasal pillows for the ResMed AirFit N30i nasal cushion to convert the P30i to a nasal mask.

Starter Pack Sizing Convenience

Standard Starter Pack
The AirFit P30i Standard Starter Pack comes with a Standard Frame and three sizes of P30i nasal pillows (Small, Medium, Large). The Standard sized frame fits most users comfortably.

Small Starter Pack
The AirFit P30i Small Starter Pack comes with a Small Frame and two sizes of P30i nasal pillows (Small, Medium). The Small frame is recommended for those with smaller head sizes.

FAQ

How do I know what frame size I need?
Male users should start with the Standard frame size while female users should start with the Small frame size. If the Standard frame sits too close to your ears or falls back over your head, size down to the Small frame. If the Small frame sits too close to your eyes or too forward on your head, size up to the Standard frame.

You can also measure the width of your head and refer to the AirFit P30i Frame Sizing Guide to find the proper frame size.

Can I use the AirFit P30i with the ResMed AirMini?
No, the AirFit P30i is not compatible with the AirMini Auto Travel CPAP Machine but it is compatible with all other CPAP machines.

How do I clean the AirFit P30i Nasal Mask?
Weekly: headgear, swivel elbow, frame
Daily: nasal pillows

Disassemble the mask.
Soak each part in warm water with mild soap for up to ten minutes.
Scrub the vent holes on the elbow and nasal pillows with a soft bristle brush.
Rinse each part thoroughly under running tap water and squeeze out excess water from the headgear and frame sleeves.
Air dry all parts away from direct sunlight.

Can the ResMed P30i Nasal Pillow Mask be used with any CPAP machine?
The ResMed AirFit P30i Nasal Pillow Mask is compatible with all CPAP machines except for the ResMed AirMini Travel CPAP.

Can I use the ResMed P30i Nasal Pillow Mask if I have a beard or facial hair?
Yes, the ResMed AirFit P30i is a good option for CPAP users with facial hair since it is designed to sit below the nose and seal around the nostrils. The P30i is less likely to be dislodged by facial hair as it does not rest on top of the upper lip.

Subject: Too loud, otherwise good
First, the positives: the design for the air supply tube going on top of the mask is absolutely genius. Props to the designer for this one. I normally drape my hose from the top of my bed's headboard so this works perfectly for me. My wife doesn't have to worry about moving into the exhalation path anymore. Also, when I wake up in the morning, I don't get noticeable marks at all because of the soft fabric on the sides of the mask.

However, I will say that this mask is on the louder side. When I initially switched to this mask, I wasn't impressed by how loud the airflow was. Because of the way the sides of the mask press down on my face, I can hear the airflow and my own breathing in my skull. This will definitely take some time to get used to.

I think this mask is a good choice. I just wish it was a little quieter.

First of all, the P30i is quite comfortable to wear. It is very lightweight and not the least bit bulky like some of the full face masks that I have tried. I didn't miss at all having to tighten straps so much just to prevent air leaks and then looking in the mirror after removing the mask in the morning, and seeing all those marks on my face. But then came the downside for me. I would constantly find my self being awakened exhaling through my mouth. I tried using a chin strap along with the nasal mask, but that was too much work and defeated the reason for going to a less obtrusive mask. So, I have gone back to using my full face mask as it does allow me to have uninterrupted sleep.

Subject: Way too tight to use
I purchased the standard size because I have a larger than normal head and that was the only option (certainly not small). I tried and tried with the various sized nasal pillows but woke up each morning to a sore nose and face. Now it sits by my bedside collecting dust and I'm using my years old mask... Going to try and get a replacement ..

I absolutely love the comfort of the head gear for this mask. I also likes the pillows however I wish they made an extra small or petite size nasal pillow as this one is just a bit too large but I can manage. The important feature to me is the comfort of the headgear.

This new P30i is the most comfortable mask yet. With the air flow hose over my head, I don't have to worry about wrapping myself up in hose.

What is the reason for the tube to be connected on the top of the head instead of my old mask which the tube comes out from the front of my nose ?

Top-of-head tubing and soft materials ensure you can read or watch TV without irritation or obstructed field of vision. Many CPAP masks can irritate the face and restrict movement throughout the night, but the ResMed P30i Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask is designed with comfort in mind.

What’s the best way to prevent the nasal cradle cushion from stretching or distorting while laying when not in use? Will removing it from the mask daily prevent this or cause even more stretching?

Answer

Most patients wash their cushion daily, usually build it into a routine. Wash it while brushing your teeth and leave it on a clean towel to dry throughout the day. Replace your cushion every 3 months.

Looking for a xs size nasal pillows. My small is just too large and causes alot of sores if I do not switch back and forth. I prefer the pillows for sleeping and less chapping of my upper lip. I have the P30I headgear and so far cannot find the size needed for pillows and I have lots of air loss. I have tried a mask that is in front and those xs pillows but I move too much for that type of headgear. I prefer the hose on the top of my head. Any guidance would be appreciated.

You are limited to the Resmed P30i or the Dreamwear Pillow nasal mask if you like the tube above your head. Neither of these masks has XS cushions. If the P10 for Her has not worked for you, try the Brevida. It has XS and it hugs the nose for a great fit.
