CPAP Filters

These are CPAP machine filters from ResMed , Respironics , Fisher & Paykel and other after market manufacturers.

Routinely replacing or cleaning the filter on a CPAP machine is a vital step to ensure not only the functionality of the unit but the health of its user. The role of the filter is to trap airborne particles, pet dander, bacteria, smoke and other harmful contaminants so that the air that is fed into the machine and into your lungs is clean and free of these elements. Make it a habit to change your CPAP filter just as you would the filter on your car, HVAC system, furnace and refrigerator's water filter.

Our inventory is filled with trusted brands recommended by leading sleep specialists. Brands such as ResMed, Respironics, Philips Respironics and more have been manufacturing products that help treat sleep apnea, COPD and other respiratory diseases for decades. There are two kinds of filters: disposable and non-disposable, and they're typically made from paper, foam or a woven synthetic material. Refer to your CPAP machine's manual on guidelines as to how and when to change your filter. It is generally recommended that you replace your disposable filters every two weeks and you clean your non-disposable, foam filters at least once a month. Non-disposable filters do not last forever so be sure to replace them every six months.

Cleaning your non-disposable filter is easy; hand wash it with mild soap, rinse it thoroughly and allow it to completely air dry. Remember, disposable filters should never be washed and re-used.

Replacing the filter on your CPAP is simple and inexpensive, so do not delay in making this a routine priority. Check your filter often, especially if you live in a household with multiple pets, a smoker or if the air in your home is particularly dusty, and tweak your replacement/cleaning schedule as needed.

If you have any questions about replacing the filter on your CPAP unit, contact one of our knowledgeable specialists for assistance.
