Philips Respironics DreamWear Nasal Mask (with upgraded headgear and arms)
Packed with all the right features, the DreamWear Nasal Mask is designed for all types of CPAP users.
Whether you’re an active sleeper, have facial hair, or are new to CPAP therapy, this mask seamlessly integrates into your lifestyle.
Featuring an under-the-nose cushion, it keeps your nasal bridge pain-free while securely sealing both nostrils.
Combined with the unique DreamWear frame and an upgraded slip-resistant headgear design, the DreamWear Nasal Mask offers a completely open field of view with minimal facial contact.
Enjoy both freedom of movement and multiple sizing options with the DreamWear Nasal Mask!
With a top-of-the-head tube connection and 360° swivel, the DreamWear lets you sleep freely in any position. And with 3 frame sizes (S, M, L) and 4 nasal cushion sizes (S, M, MW, L) to choose from, you can mix and match to find your best fit.
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably under your nose.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your DreamWear mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion/frame size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.
If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.
Weekly cleaning: headgear, fabric sleeves
Daily cleaning: cushion, frame, elbow
- Disassemble the mask.
- Hand wash all mask parts in warm water with mild soap.
- Rinse each part thoroughly under running water.
- Air-dry all parts away from direct sunlight. Lay the headgear and fabric sleeves flat to dry, or you can hang them to dry.
If you're already a DreamWear user, you can easily upgrade your mask by purchasing the new DreamWear Headgear with Arms.
*When using the full face cushion, you'll also need the DreamWear Full Face Mask Headgear (sold separately).
Frame Size: The frame size is stamped on the top of the frame, close to where it connects to the elbow swivel.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
The frames are available in Small (19" length), Medium (20" length) and Large (22" length). You would measure from ear to ear going over the head.

The model with nasal pillows is great, but this 'sleeve' design more comfortable with less internal nasal drying for me (w/humidifier). below 5% leak event (20/20 typical on seal stat), YMMV if side sleeper.
Always a good experience doing business with RespShop. Quick shipping and quality products. Pricing is always very competitive. Definitely recommend.
I’m dealing with rosasea in my face skin. Dermatologist mention that the nose, mouth area need to be free. I tried a variety of masks and all hurt the area until I found Dreamwear mask. It has the minimal skin contact. I suggest you to try.
This is a great mask, it is so comfortable, PLUS the Full Cover Masks get too close to my eyes and I have had some serious eye issues from sweat and residue which may have started with the Full Masks.
ALSO....RespShop is just an incredible Company to work with, their Customer Service is the best I have encountered in any on line Seller. No Question about it.

Quality products, fast shipping, and fair prices. What more could I ask for? Keep up the good work. Thank you.
I've been using this mask for a few years now and it works great for me.
Much better than previous models I've used.
I'm actually subscribed, if that tells you anything.
I am very happy with both of my CPAP, one for travel and the other for at home.
Good product and excellent speed in delivery. The material of the mask also arrived in very good condition.
Excellent product. Great quality. I can sleep like a baby.
I like that the air relief port is on the top and not at the nostrils. My old mask would blow cold air on my hands and arms while on my side. This mask eliminates that. It is very comfortable and does not irritate the nostrils. It stays in place and needs very little, if any, adjusting during the night.
It is different from nasal pillows. I like it, it works as well without the pillows going up your nose
This has got to be the most comfortable mask. Plus Respshop has the best price on these.
You will never know how happy I was to be recommended the Philips Dreamwear Nasal Mask by the friendly and knowledgeable customer service at Respshop. I was at my wits end trying to find the mask that would work for me. I did do some research but it meant nothing until I spoke to the customer service representative at Respshop. I was so frustrated by the time I called Respshop but I felt better almost immediately because they were willing to take the time to help me. They walked me through all the different styles of nasal masks and they knew all the pros and cons of each. The Philips Dreamwear mask caught my attention right away. It is such a unique style. I love the tube connection being at the top of my head. No more fighting with the cpap tubing in the night for me! I like to read before bed and now I can again! With nothing in my field of vision I can watch tv or read. Fantastic. I was torn between the Dreamwear Nasal mask and the Dreamwear nasal pillow mask initially but Respshop made it easy. The nasal cushion replacement can also be the nasal pillow cushion replacement as it is the same frame! I ordered the Dreamwear nasal mask and an extra nasal pillow cushion. Two masks in one.
I have received the Dreamwear nasal mask and have used it for three nights. I have been using the F&P Eson2 nasal mask medium size. I wanted to try something else because my current mask leaked air into my eyes causing them to dry out and they stayed irritated all the time. My pressure setting is at 12.
The Dreamwear nasal mask medium size fits perfectly according to the pictures and sizing information that came with it. I noticed that there was minimal air leaks and it was far enough away from my eyes that even the leaks would not blow on my eyes. Other positive aspects are that it is very light and does not obstruct my vision if I need to look at something. Lastly it does not leave those marks on my face. The nasal mask has not made the end of my nose sore either. At this point, I am very pleased with this mask. I have made several purchases from Respshop and am 100% satisfied with them. The only negative thing about the mask is that strap will pull up on the back of my head if I move my head in the wrong direction. This is due to the minimal amount of headgear used. That’s a trade that I can live with.
This nasal mask is very comfortable. I did have a little problem with the headgear. The top of my head was beginning to ache, so I took a soft fuzzy sock that I purchased at the dollar store and cut the toe and the heel out. Then I slipped it on the head gear and no more pain on top of my head. Very pleased with this purchase.
This is a low profile nasal mask which is comfortable to wear. Ensure you measure your size right and adjust the straps so they are snug if you move your head around in your sleep. I made one side just a little tighter than the other because I tend to move from my back to my side.
Best price I could find and the delivery was lightening fast.
Amazing! and I got the mask very quickly. Thank you so much for everything
It was an excellent delivery, the assistance they gave me through the online chat to be able to buy my products was very efficient. I love the way they assisted me. The quality of the product of the mask is excellent, it has worked very well for me and its usefulness is very practical and comfortable for sleeping. the packaging was very good. The product arrived in good condition and well cared for.
I’m writing to let you know how happy I am with this product. It’s amazingly comfortable and I can sleep in any position. Truly love this product game changer.
As an update to my review, I have been shipped a replacement mask of the same type but from a different maker.
I was super pleased with the quick and helpful response both from my chat and phone call to Respshop. They get 5 stars for customer service.
The air delivery though the mask straps permits more air than other masks and improves the comfort. I am going to recommend this to all my friends.
My suggestion to first time users would be to order the option with all four sizes of pillows and try them all until you get the fit perfect for you. I measure medium but find that the large fits my facial bone structure best.
I use my cpap every night and am very pleased with the sleep I am getting while using this mask.
My wife woke me up slightly panicked, because she hard no air leaking while I was quietly sleeping, she has never heard that.
I have a commerical drivers license so my therapy is mandated. I would recommend this mask to anyone.
it, and does not feel like you have a anesthesia mask on your face!!!
It has save me from not wanting to wear what I need to get the THERAPY I need. Try it, your will love it,
guaranteed.
love it ! My past mask hurt me so at the bridge of my nose and I began not using the system. This new Dreamware mask is so comfortable and easy to put on and the quick disconnect on the mask to the hose is a godsend. I just recommend this mask to my two cousins who use cpap. My fiancée thanks you as she can sleep now and not hear me snoring.
The nose cushion.
With DreamWear mask, it is possible to sleep on your side.
Nose piece (cushion) is amazingly comfortable and won't leave any bruise marks. Frame can leave marks however felt frame cover attachments helps reduced marks.
Only negative is the headgear, it looses its shape and tension within a month. It needs to be longer lasting.
This mask works extremely well for me, I no longer have a to look for other options.
I use small frame and small cushion
My prayers have been answered!
Period.
I started wearing this mask with the wrong size. MY FAULT. I should have used the little measuring thingy. I thought I was a medium because my husband said, "That one is good". LOL Anywhoooo...lots of leaks when the pressure increased. So I changed to a small cushion size and that really helped. Learn from me. The measuring thingy is better than your husband's opinion. And the mask is very comfortable and flip around and sleep on my side and squish my face. I have to still give it a 4 because it is still leaking a bit with high pressure. I just got the Resmed Airfit p30i and the pillows hold a much better seal. And it's comfortable. So I like it better.
I had one of the more constrictive nasal masks before, the Phillips Nuance Pro. This model fits much better, and doesn't leave you looking like two cats fought on your head!!
I would highly recommend this unit
I have found that it is difficult to adjust to stay on your face all night long. It means getting up mid night and doing some adjusting. I get air leaks in the middle of the night.
I’ve been wearing this mask for a couple of years. My only issue is that the strap slides up the back of my head during the night (breaks off my hair), and then the nasal cushion becomes loose and the hissing starts and wakes me up... I pull the strap down and the cycle begins again. I could pull it really tight and create lines in my face, I suppose, but that’s not comfortable at all. In order to sleep on my side, I have to put my hands on top of each other and then under my head/face, or it cuts the air on that side and here we go again w/the hissing, etc. if I sleep on my back with head straight or little lean to the side, it’s great. It’s comfortable, quiet, and doesn’t block your view.
Great news! Philips has corrected that issue with a new strap. Here is the mask with the new strap https://www.respshop.com/cpap-masks/nasal/respironics-dreamwear-nasal-cpap-mask-with-headgear-arm-p-1368.html
and Here is just the strap and it works GREAT! https://www.respshop.com/cpap-masks/parts/headgears/nasal/respironics-dreamwear-headgear-with-arms-p-1364.html
I am writing this after only one night of usage. I will update it later if need be.
Okay, the mask is comfortable for me. The only issue I see so far is leakage. I can feel is leaking air around the hose connection on top of the head. I know it won't be "air" tight because it is a moving-rotating part so maybe this is normal. It does fit pretty well around the nose but I do feel some leakage there, too at times.
Results after one night: I love the hose connection on top of the head because there is no hose under the arm or across the chest, etc. That is the biggest plus for me. I felt like I did get enough air but a couple of times I was wondering if I was. Now, this is after one use so I could be in error.
Because of the air connection being on top of the head, I might buy this mask again just for that reason unless it proves to be too leaky and not work well.
Will probably get this style again when it becomes necessary.
Wasn't sure I was going to like having the hose attached, top of head rather than to the front of the mask. Ha. Probably my favorite thing about this new mask. No problem. I haven't noticed the hose at all since using this mask.
As for the rest, well on the good side, the thing is ridiculously comfortable and the straps don't dig into my face. When it's on right, I barely feel it present at all. Middle of the road, it sounds louder to my own ears (but my wife does not notice a difference in that way). Not too big a problem, though. White noise, kind of pleasant. My only complaint is, I have more trouble keeping this guy seated properly when on my side. Only using it a few weeks now so perhaps I'll find the magic combination to make that work better. Having my face toward the edge of the pillow helps.
I would give it 5/5 except for that one tweak.
Only problem is that is a bit noisy, its kind of like white noise though. He other thind is im not so sure that it gives the proper seal.
the Nuance Pro is about as load but, is only for a medium size head the gel pad hit high on my cheek bone and leave a mark in the morning.
I do not like the plastic on plastic connection.
Every time I take the mask off my hair get caught and it tears my hair breaking it off.
I’ve tried several ways to remove the mask without getting damage.
Can’t find a way.
Help?!
Hello Carol,
We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your purchase, however, you are eligible for our Mask Assurance Program! Please call us at 866-936-3754 so that we can assist you in finding a better solution!
Unfortunately this is not for me. I am not used to the air coming brom the face below the nose. I tried for several nights but it moved around my face too easily for me. I also had difficulty pulling the entire mask off over my head each time I had to get up at night. It would have worked better for me if there was an easy way to unattatch from the face in the middle of the night. Great idea and did not leave marks on my face. Wish it had worked.

The dreamwear nasal CPAP that I just purchased is not as comfortable to wear. The nasal apparatus is not as good as other nasal apparatus. I might have to buy the new nasal apparatus that actually have prongs that inserts inside.....more money.
It sounds like perhaps you purchased the wrong item. You are describing the Nasal Pillow mask and not the nasal mask. Please contact us so we can get this fixed for you!
I've only been using for a few nights for the first time ever using a cpap. This one leaks a the top connection. I think it has air holes. Leaks around the nose at times. Im not sure how its supposed to fit.
Hello Lynette,
Yes, this mask has exhalation holes at the top which is why you feel air coming out the top. Please give us a call at 866-936-3754 so you can take advantage of our 30 day mask assurance policy and we can recommend a mask for you that fits better. Thank you!
The mask is quite comfortable, but I have thick, wavy shoulder-length hair, so the structure of having the tube at the top of my head causes the mask to slide off from time to time. I am going to revert back to my ResMed nasal cradle mask because I can tuck it under my hair on the back of my head.
**Rebeccah, Philips has just come out with a NEW Headgear for those with this issue! Check out the new DreamWear headgear. You will see that it rides much lower on the head. Model Number 1116751.
I personally love the new headgear
Susan@respshop.com
The HEADGEAR ONLY COMES IN ONE SIZE!!! If you click on the link (Dreamwear headgeat) in the above statement it says this on the order page:
This Headgear/Head-Strap is only available in one size. The compatibility of this will only be limited to the DreamWear and cannot work with other mask on the CPAP market.
The mask/cushion is excellent and very comfortable. The air delivery is ingenious and especially great for side-sleepers. But, the headgear (only 1 size remember) does not meet the efficiency of the mask/tubing. It slips up the back of the head, thus moving the mask and causing air leakage. There needs to be an additional anchor point that goes UNDER the ear and secures the mask/tubing in place throughout the night.
I don't care for the new head gear with arms. It pulls my hair. I'm glad to see the old one is still available for purchase.
Not the mask for me. It gets stuck to my hair and pulls it. When I move at night when I'm asleep, the connection gets caught on to the headboard and bed causing me to wake up and adjust it. What I do like is that I can wear my glasses with the mask on and read or watch TV prior to going to sleep. I'll keep this one as a backup and stay with the same style CPAP mask I have been using for years.
Thank you for reaching out to us! This is my favorite mask but I do put my hair up so I don't have that problem. Luckily we do have a mask assurance policy so give us a call so we can rectify this.
Your Respshop Team
Charles, we are sorry that happened. We have sent you a different cushion and fabric wraps that should help the problem.
Repshop.com
The sized cushions kept popping off mount on side arms. In short time plastic inserts fell out as well. Could tape together as nothing sticks to silicone material. Finally wife got cloth stretch band aids to stick to save vacation.
Pic attached. Obviously this is now my worst headgear.
It sounds like your cushion may not be the correct size or there may be a defect.
I have never experienced this issue with my Dreamwear so I suggest you call us.
The new headgear with "Arms' is also nice as it helps to keep mask from slipping.
I can't see that it is any different except for the knobs on the side. I dislike them intensely; they catch in my hair. I ordered a silk skull cap to wear, but it just bunches up. Anything heavier would make me way too hot.
I went back to my old mask because I couldn't deal with my hair getting pulled out.
I would like to return it or exchange it for the old style, if Respshop would do that.
Hi there, we have a 30 day mask assurance program that is applicable every 6 months. If it is still within the 30 day period, please reach out to us. 866-936-3754.
I reviewed this mask before but now that I have used it for a bit longer, I hate this thing. First of all, it leaks air at the quick connect and I have tried everything to make it stop. It slips off at night, especially when I turn on my side and it leaks air at the nose piece! Worse mask I have every owned. My sleep grades have tanked since I started using this mask..
What do I like? I like that is connects on top of the head.
Hello John,
