Evora Nasal Mask by Fisher & Paykel
Marrying simplicity with innovation, the Fisher & Paykel Evora Nasal Mask is the perfect choice for first-time CPAP users and those struggling with mask fit.
The mask’s standout feature, the CapFit headgear, is so simple to fit that 98% of trial participants found it easy to put on and remove in the dark. Cleverly designed to be worn like a baseball cap, it lets you start your therapy in one intuitive movement.
Each part of the Evora is made with an effective treatment and your comfort in mind. The compact under-the-nose cushion features a floating seal with stability wings, creating a secure yet gentle seal.
The mask also comes with a lightweight, open-faced design, exhalation ports for quieter nights, and a flexible tube with a swivel for better freedom of movement.
Not sure about your size? No problem. The Evora offers a fit pack option with three nasal cushion sizes*, all of which are compatible with the one-size-fits-all headgear.
*Wide cushion sold separately.
Daily cleaning: cushion, swivel, frame, short tubing
- Disassemble the mask.
- Hand wash all parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking the parts for more than ten minutes.
- Rinse each part thoroughly under running water.
- Let the mask components air dry completely out of direct sunlight.
The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
- Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably under your nose.
- Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
- Ensure you're wearing your Evora Nasal Mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide, the F&P myMask™ app, or the video below. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
- Adjust your headgear as necessary.
- Try a larger or smaller cushion size.
- Replace any worn out mask parts.

Easy to properly size. Nasal mask is soft, but inflates just a bit for complete comfort. Stays in place better than most masks of this type that I have tried. It is the quietest of all of those too
The simplicity of this design scared me away at first. However, after more traditional mask designs were uncomfortable and clunky on my face, I decided to give this a try. Since there are only three parts, the mask was very easy to assemble and use. I was completely blown away by how comfortable this mask was, at least for my face. The FitPack was a good option, because I was able to try the different sizes out and I ended up with a medium nose size.
Works as intended and was delivered quickly. Fits well, good value.
I wanted a simple mask, this is good. Works well for any normal sleeping position and it doesn't slip. I am sleeping and breathing very well too.
There’s almost so little to this mask that I don’t even know what to say, other than it works great. Harness only has two straps (back and top of head) and they’re fine. Nothing to write home about and it’s a little weird that they chose a baseball-cap type strap on top, but the harness has fit well. Super lightweight so that’s always ice.
Cushion is ever so slightly a little weird, just another area they tried a more exotic design in. Rather than sitting entirely over your nose like a regular nasal mask, it sits right under it and kinda cradles the bottom of your nose. I didn’t like it the first few nights but it’s grown on me now and I don’t really have any complaints.
Overall, the entire package is incredibly lightweight. It really does strip off everything but the necessities, and that makes this the unequivocally lightest mask I’ve ever worn. Also you can wear your glasses with this mask (or in my case, my Virtual Boy).
I have had my mask for one month now. The first night, I had to take it along with me while I slept upon my sister's sofa a few days while she recovered from surgery. Though I did take my former mask, in case this one did not work out.
I have used a CPAP for about twenty years now, I am a fifty three year old male and obese. I have a wide face and have had difficulty with mask fits over the years. I started with the hard plastic nasal mask complete with forehead mount and straps encompassing my entire head. Never was comfortable, always left marks and broke very easily. It seemed I always needed new parts or new mask. A few years ago, I discovered the fabric masks. This was insanely comfortable, but they wore out quickly and would leak at the stitching...worth it for the comfort though. And now this brings me to the Evora Nasal CPAP Mask.
This mask was by far the easiest I had ever set up. I did make it too tight when I first used it...but after re reading the instructions and watching a youtube vid, I saw that the nasal pillow just rests lightly against the nostrils and is not to be fitted tightly. When the air pressure is on, it will conform gently to the nostrils. I was also sent two extra sets of pillows one for a a larger nose and one for a wider nose. I thought I would have to use them, but I never did.
Right away, I appreciated the quiet, it was a bit of getting used to as all the other masks filled me with white noise, but this one was very quiet. The head gear is very light and really does come off and on just like putting on a baseball cap. I do not need to reset the straps to hold the nasal pillows again. It is by far the easiest, lightest and most comfortable mask I have ever used. There are very few 'hard' plastic parts to this and by not having to readjust it every time I go to sleep, I believe there is little chance of it breaking like the older style masks did. I can sleep on my sides or on my back, the breakaway hose does NOT come off too easily. I really enjoy this mask. One reason I waited so long to write a review was my desire to do a pro's and con's style review. I thought over a month's time I would definitely come across some bad things. Nope. Not yet.
It is as comfortable as when I first set it up properly the first night. I have never had to resize it because it came loose. It comes off and on just like the videos show.. a baseball cap. It is that easy and comfortable. When the time comes to repurchase a mask, it will be this one.
Again, I was asked to write a review about this gift mask, but I wanted to find some con's... I did not find any. In all ways this mask and headgear was better than anything I have tried before...including a full face mask in the hospital. I'm sold on it. It is that good.
I'll be honest. I expected not to like this mask. I have been using a Respironics (Model: 1116700) and really like it. Unlike the masks I used for years, instead of the hose attaching in front of my face, it attaches at the top of the head, and that was great. Out of the way. So going back to this style, I expected to hate it.
It does suffer from the irritation that all masks have for me that have the hose connection up front. My CPAP is at the side of the bed, so inevitably the hose slides off the side of the bed and then it's tugging at my face. Can unseal the mask-argh. Can just wake me up with the sudden tug-argh. This mask doesn't have a swivel at the attachment, which I worried about, but that didn't turn out to be a problem at all.
So... bottom line. I didn't go back to the Respironics. Here's why: once I figured out which size of attachment to use (sidebar fact, first time ever the default size wasn't the perfect one for me) this is the most comfortable mask I ever put on. This is all personal preference of course, but I don't even feel it on my face, or at least it is less of an intrusion than any of the masks I've used. I think the interesting "baseball cap" thing helps a ton, being a stiffer frame for the mask. I like this mask, so I will have an interesting decision when it comes time to replace the ones I have now. I was very pleasantly surprised.
Took a few nights of playing with the adjustments to really get a perfect fit. I had the side straps too low at first, but when i actually followed the instructions it was better.
The mask is not perfect, i do roll around somewhat and tend to incur leaks, but every mask has this issue for me. I follow the directions, pull the cushion away and reseat it and off i go.
Best part for me is not having the " mask ring" around my nose in the morning.
I dont think this will totally replace my other mask, i do like to switch up from time to time, but definitely one of the 2 best masks i have used. I really found nothing about this mask i did not like.
Full transparency, I was provided the mask for free as a tester, but I honestly love the mask.
Overall, I like this mask; however, I prefer the ResMed AirFit N30 because it has fewer leaks and is more comfortable. This mask puts a bit of pressure on the corner of my nose. Additionally, while the fit is generally secure, I find that it can be a bit tight around the nose area, which sometimes causes discomfort during extended use. The headgear is adjustable, but it takes some time to find the perfect fit.
The nose cushion is nice and comfortable too, although you may need to try different sizes. I recommend you get the FitPack which comes with the small, medium, and large sizes. For me, the small was fine but getting the FitPack lets you experiment which is crucial. As a note though, the FitPack doesn’t come with the “wide” nose size. I read another review wishing the nose cushion was a little wider so for people with wider noses, you may want to consider getting the wide size.
My only complaint with comfort is that the tube connector doesn’t have a rotating elbow. It is very soft and pliable, but I am still more of a fan of the elbow type designs which can help reduce hose drag. Not a huge issue for me since I don’t move much when I sleep but I could imagine it being troublesome for more vigorous side sleepers.
If you’ve been having trouble with comfort with more conventional mask designs, I would recommend you try this one out. It truly is comfortable and lightweight, which should help you sleep much better.
Easy to fit, just had to look at the picture, GLAD to have gotten the full nose piece kit, and turns out medium seems to work well enough.
First 5 minute quick try & good seal.
ONE PROBLEM: Like every other mask I've used it's just too shallow and the tip of my nose rubs against the white plastic mounting flange that the nose piece hose connects to. Furthermore, that edge is very sharp and cuts the tip of my nose. After the second night of use it caused a cut on the tip of my nose to the extent that it bled. An extra 1/4 inch depth of the nose piece or 1/2 inch greater diameter of the flange would sure be nice, and smoothing the sharp edge on that flange or changing the blue mounting ring on the nice piece to overlap that knife sharp edge wouldn't be a bad idea.
THAT was after night 3. I noticed what seemed like restricted air flow on night 3 and thought it was just stuffed sinuses, but then I had the same feeling on night 4 and THEN I could feel the rubber from the MEDIUM nose piece blocking one nostril. So on night 5 I switched to the LARGE, although I knew that it would position the tip of my nose closer to the mounting flange (which it did) to the extend that by morning the laceration on the tip of my nose was enough to drip blood. The air flow was GREAT and the comfort perfect, but I couldn't continue to endure the cutting.
END OF TEST: Very very reluctantly night 6 and on I'll be back to my old discontinued mask.
Too bad; except for the one flaw it was a great relief and so very very comfortable and I was so sure I'd found the new mask I was looking for. I'm sure for a person with a smaller nose it would be great, but for me I just can't use it as is.
The Evora nasal is very minimalistic. But not for all people. I have a smallish head so the top adjustment isn’t small enough to keep it off my ears. So it’s very uncomfortable sleeping on my side. Other than that it seals very well.
