Quattro FX Full Face CPAP Mask by ResMed

An innovative, market-leading CPAP mask, ResMed's updated Quattro FX Full Face Mask is designed to be far less obtrusive than other traditional full face masks.

The absence of forehead support provides a clear line of sight and minimal contact with the face. This easy-to-use mask fits comfortably, allowing for a good night's sleep and effective sleep therapy.

Like the initial design, the second-generation Quattro FX comes with a 360° rotating elbow, which reduces tube drag as you move during sleep. The mask’s flexible straps let you move your face freely without dislodging the seal and wrap easily around various head shapes.

Sleep with a leak-free seal and the utmost comfort. The Spring Air cushion’s inner wall creates a gentle yet secure seal and keeps your jaw from dropping.

As you breathe in, the outer membrane inflates rather than stretches, minimizing air leaks and pressure around your nose.

Prescription Required

Weekly cleaning: headgear, soft sleeves
Daily cleaning: frame, cushion, elbow

  1. Disassemble the mask.
  2. Soak the mask parts in warm water with mild soap. Avoid soaking for more than 10 minutes.
  3. Clean the vent with a soft bristle brush.
  4. Rinse all parts thoroughly under running water, squeezing out excess water from the headgear.
  5. Lay parts out to air dry away from direct sunlight.
To maintain the best fit and seal for your CPAP therapy, we recommend replacing the entire mask, including the headgear and frame, every 6 months.

The silicone cushion, however, may need to be replaced more frequently, typically every 2 to 3 months. Silicone naturally softens over time, which can affect its ability to create a good seal.
  1. Gently pull the mask away from your face and then release it, allowing the cushion seal to inflate and settle comfortably around your nose and mouth.
  2. Make sure to clean both your mask cushion and your face, as facial oils can interfere with the seal.
  3. Ensure you're wearing your Quattro FX mask according to the fitting instructions in the user guide. The way you put on the mask significantly impacts the seal.
  4. Adjust your headgear as necessary.
  5. Try a larger or smaller cushion/headgear size.
  6. Replace any worn out mask parts.

If your CPAP mask still leaks after following all those troubleshooting steps, a different mask style may be a better option. Feel free to contact RespShop for assistance in choosing a different mask.

Q. I tried on a mirage Quattro xs and it seemed to fit but don't see that size what size should I get ?
A. The ResMed Mirage quattro and the ResMed Quattro Fx are 2 different masks. Model number 61200 is Mirage Quattro XS, which is in stock. The ResMed Quattro Fx does not come in an XS.
Q. I currently use a Resmed FX wide mask. It appears that I can no longer order that size. Should I get a med or large with the new Quatro FX?
A. I would suggest trying the large.

I love this mask It allows me to move and breath easily at night. As a first time user, I was afraid to use the mask and the CPAP. But now that I can rest so well with it, I just love it.

Joe,

You are experiencing what I call Hippo Mouth. I assume this happens when your machine is at higher cm. of pressure and when you begin to breath through your mouth a little, the higher pressure blows into your mouth which in turn inflates you checks (thus hippo mouth) causing a dry mouth. My ResMed Air Sense Auto set ramps to my prescription of 15 cm/ap and at that pressure I have a lower chance of check inflating. I also have the heat/humidifier set at 80 degrees which gives me plenty of humidification. Ever night I use a sniff of Afrin (lasts all night) to clear my nose for the night. With my pressure and nightly ritual I never get hippo mouth. If your pressure is higher that 15 cm you may have to use a chin strap to keep you mouth from opening. I'm not a fan of chin straps but the best by far is the Puresome Ruby. Very comfortable and keeps your mouth shut. I use this chin strap if I want to use my Phillips Dream Wear, I can't stand nasal pillows and the Dream Wear sits under your nose and is extremely comfortable.

The Quattro FX is my go to full face mask. I tried the RespCare Hybrid and the fist week I love it even though I'm not a fan of nasal pillows. But after the first couple weeks the pillows would begin to leak. I would have to over tighten the top straps tot he point of discomfort so I'm done with pillows. I then tried the Amara View and again loved it for about 2 weeks and then the nose area would leak unless over tightened. I tried the new Resmed F20 and after a couple nights, due to the huge amount of cushion material that is this frosted silicon stuff, that will leak (I have a very trimmed goatee). The frosted silicon is great for anyone without any facial hair but will leak-leak-leak and leak some more with contact of facial hair.

This Resmed Quattro FX has the regular shiny silicone with seals perfect to facial hair and I barely have to snug up the head gear to get a great seal. The silicone is so soft and comfortable it rides around your face. I'm a back and side sleeper and I do use the CPAPmax Bed Pillow by Contour. It's expensive at $70 but it is AMAZING and has cut outs so when you sleep on your side, the mask won't hit the pillow and cause the mask to move too much. With 4 height settings you can get the perfect comfort fit for anyone and it stays cool with the technology built in to this pillow.

The Quattro FX and the Contour Pillow is my perfect combo!!!

Sorry left out one of the more important things (I think anyway)

For cleaning the frosted X pops off the mask with the headgear attached-- easy to wash the mask and pop it back into the X... You're off and sleeping.

Good mask although without the forehead support as a side sleeper tendency to induce leaks...

Seals well until seal becomes worn, keep an extra on hand for when this happens.

Very lightweight and comfortable.

The Quattro Fx mask is light weight and unobtrusive, with no forehead brace. The silicon cushion is wider, so it doesn't cause irritation to my nose because it sits mid-bridge. I have almost no leakage wearing this mask.

I tried the full face mask with headgear, the total face also, they caused a sore neck that i could only cured by going to the Quatro FX full face. The guy that invented that mask deserve a medal.

This is a good mask for someone that sleeps on their backs, but if they are a roller like me not a good fix. You might get strangled with the hose. Other than that the mask fit well and I had good results.

Am a mouth breather and always use a chin strap with the mask. Easy to put on and adjust. Comfortable to wear and the best that I have found on the market so far.

The face cushion pops off sometimes but I make do. It leaks sometimes too but I have had that problem with other masks. It's not all bad, it's a comfortable fit and I like the shape. I can't recommend or condemn it. I am neutral. Price was decent for sure compared to other brands.

***Joshua, thank you for your feedback! Please remember that if you are not happy with a mask we do have a Mask Assurance Policy which allows you to return a mask for another mask within 30 days. Susan@Repshop.com

The mask is smaller than I expected.

This has led to problems with it fitting correctly.

At first, I felt it very comfortable, but later on I started feeling a burning sensation on my cheeks and it leaked quite profusely from the top just right on my eyes.. I adjusted it and it was fine but the least change in position would it cause it to start leaking again. After a while I was able to use it for 3 or 4 hours but then returned to my old nasal mask at the middle of the night.. I tried for some more days but the irritation on my cheeks did not go away, so I decided to return it.

The mask was larger than I thought it would be, have trouble making a tight seal on the bridge of my nose so air leaks and dries out my eyes. I probably should have ordered a smaller size mask.

Thank you for your response!
Luckily we have a Mask Assurance Policy so please call us to get this resolved for you.

i personally didnt do well with this mask. i tend to move a lot while asleep and the mask always was leaking, I think its every mask works different for everybody, but in my opinion it wasnt confortable since i sleep on the side and the mask moved by touching my pillow. Its not very invasive dough.

DON’T BUY!!!!
Worst mask ever! Will not seal properly, I have to wake up several times during the night to readjust the mask. Air leaks horribly. I should get a full refund and not have to pay for shipping for this worthless mask! Buyer beware!

I am sorry that mask did not work for you! Luckily we do have a mask assurance policy so please contact us so we can get this rectified for you.
