Trigger and Cycle Sensitivity

The Adjustable Trigger and Cycle sensitivity function enables comprehensive customization at the start and end of your inhalation, enhancing therapy compliance. A higher cycle of sensitivity for users is generally recommended so that they can exhale earlier.

H5i Heated Humidifier

The H5i Humidifier actively regulates the humidity and temperature throughout the night, adapting to ambient temperature differences to ensure your set humidity remains constant. The H5i comes with a warm-up indicator to inform you when your humidifier is ready.

ClimateLine Max Oxy

Supplemental oxygen is provided through the MAX Oxy ClimateLine which adds warm, humidified air to intermingle with the oxygen. This helps deliver a persistent soothing temperature to your mask, significantly reducing rainout. The tube connects to the back of the S9 thereby removing any inconveniences of manually separating the tube from the S9.

EasyBreathe Technology

EasyBreathe creates a natural breathing experience by altering pressure when you inhale and exhale, smoothing out your breathing for a comfortable respiratory cycle. The S9 continuously monitors your breathing on a breath by breath basis in order to maintain a persistent open airway.

TiControl

TiControl sets the minimum and maximum time limits for inspiration in order to control your inspiratory time. TiControl manages leaks and personalizes your respiratory cycles by controlling your exhalation time.

Data Management

ResMed's data management is unmatched. The newly re-designed data management system is capable of storing 30 sessions of detailed information, and is able to track and store everything on a portable SD card. You can share your data easily with your doctor through the internet or by removing your SD card. A Sleep Quality Indicator pro-actively tracks the quality of your sleep as well, so you will always be getting the most out of your S9.

• Do standard CPAP tubes work with the S9?
  • The ResMed S9 VPAP can fit any standard sized 22mm CPAP tube, but it comes with a 15mm CPAP tube by default. You will need to manually access the menu to change the settings on your S9 in order to utilize a standard tube.
• Should I keep my humidifier running before I go to bed to ensure the water is warm?
  • If the air is dry and irritating you can turn your humidifier on 20 minutes prior to falling asleep.
• Can I use tap water to clean out my humidifier?
  • Distilled water maximizes the life of the water tub and reduces mineral deposits. Using tap water occasionally to clean will not harm your device but it is strongly recommended you use distilled water.
