Z2 Auto Travel CPAP Machine by Breas
Take your sleep therapy anywhere with the Breas Z2 Auto Travel CPAP Machine. At only 10.5 ounces and about 7 inches long, it’s as lightweight as a roll of paper towel and easily fits into your suitcase.
With a free Q-Lite muffler, this device operates at just 26 decibels, making it truly whisper-quiet.
Despite its compact size, the Breas Z2 Auto packs all the features you’ll find in quality CPAP machines, including:
- Z-Breathe Exhalation Relief - reduces air pressure during exhalation
- Auto Start/Stop - starts therapy once you put on the mask and stops it upon mask removal
- Ramp - starts therapy at a low pressure and gradually increases it to your prescribed pressure
Included with the Breas Z2 is a Heat Moisture Exchanger (HME) for waterless humidification. It recycles heat and moisture from your exhaled breath, so there’s no need to bring distilled water when you travel.
Complete your travel CPAP kit with the FAA-approved PowerShell Module with Extended Battery. Capable of delivering up to 8.9 hours of runtime on 20 cm H2O, it makes the Z2 the perfect CPAP machine for off-grid travel.
Please note that airline policies regarding in-flight CPAP use can vary. Always familiarize yourself with your airline’s on-board CPAP use policy prior to traveling.
The Q-Lite Muffler should be replaced as necessary, such as when damaged or when there is an increase in airflow and/or machine noise.
- Pressure: 4-20 cm H2O
- Ramp Time: 15 minutes
- Ramp Start Pressure: 4 cm H2O
- Z-Breathe: APAP 3
- Bluetooth: On
- Auto Start/Stop: On
Thank you.

we have some patients who place it inside their night stand drawer and leave the drawer open for the machine to be able to get adequate airflow. If you do not have a drawer, we recommend to place it on top of a small box on the ground.
Thank you
Also, if your CPAP device breaks down, you'll need the prescription to get an emergency replacement or supplies you may have forgotten to pack. So it is a good practice to keep your doctor's prescription handy because you can never know when an emergency could arise.
Breas is currently in the process of revising the Nitelog app program to address these changes to the Android OS. But this update will take time to be developed. We do not currently have an ETA for this.
The good news is the Breas has a desk top software, and the USB cable that came with your machine will be able to assist with plugging your machine to your lap top or computer. You can also make changes to your clinical settings on the device itself.
I recently received my Breas rental machine and I love! I chose this machine because of the wonderful staff at RespShop, I explained to them how sensitive my wife is to sound and that she is just able to tolerate my home machine as of recently, however, anything significantly louder then I may have been on the couch for the duration of our trip! I was informed that this machine is the most quiet of them all which worked great in my favor. I also occasionally have issues with humidity, despite going to a more moist climate I also purchased the Breas HME. I only ended up having to use the one out of the two I purchased which lasted a week. I was very appreciative of the staff for making me aware that this may have been an issue. I already used Respshop as my supplier of my equipment. They knew which mask I already, I was told it would work with it and it did! Always great and knowledgeable staff, quick delivery and easy returns which is very appreciated. Will likely purchase the Breas Z2 for my next trip!
Amazingly quiet! Very compact @ great for traveling.
Just used my Z2 Auto for the first time on a business trip. It's easy to use, not too noisy, and I like it much more than by Philips Respironics machine that I have at home. Good product!
But they really went out of their way to accommodate,
I thank them very much
I like the product, but for $800, a travel bag should come with it.
The Z2 is a "travel" APAP, but when you travel and decide to check your compliance data, the app asks if you want to change the device timezone to match where you are currently located. You say to yourself, "Sure! I should do that".
Well, ..just don't!
If you do change time zone, then all the compliance data history on your iOS device app gets wiped and starts over as Day 1 for the new timezone. If your job requires compliance data reports then you're going to show a hole in the data when you travel and make the mistake of changing timezones. This is weird bug for a "travel" unit.
Otherwise, I find the unit to be very effective, lightweight, quiet, and comfortable to use. Without the software bug I'd rate it a 5
I was excited to have a travel APAP machine that would be easier to transport than my Philip's Dream Station. That was until I actually used it! I assembled it properly and my nasal mask was snug, but even if I managed to fall asleep, I would wake up after an hour or so and be unable to go back to sleep because of the noise level. I tried to use it 3 nights in a row without any success. It never occurred to me that this would be an issue and it would be nice if the company could make some kind of modification to alleviate the problem.
Hi Laura,
We're sorry to hear this! Travel units are louder than home units because there is less room for sound abatement insulation.
Have you tried using the Q-lite in-line muffler that comes with the Z2? It will help reduce the noise. This is how you connect the muffler:
machine --> tube adapter --> 8" tube --> muffler --> 4 ft tube --> HME (if using)--> mask
