Market Leading CPAP Machine

ResMed has long been known as the producer of the market's top CPAP machines and equipment, and they have continued this tradition with the aesthetic and performance driven line of AirSense machines. The AirSense 10 AutoSet CPAP Machine is the most advanced automatic CPAP machine in its class. Featuring EPR, a heated humidifier, several advanced event detection features, and the industry's best data tracking and management system, the S10 AutoSet provides every feature you'd want in a top of the line CPAP machine. The Resmed Airsense 10 CPAP tracks your respiration on a breath-by-breath basis, automatically adjusting pressure depending on your specific needs throughout the night. Simply put, this is the top machine in its class.

Introducing the most sophisticated data sharing program available in the CPAP industry: the AirView. AirView comes with a wireless modem that immediately allows users to jump into the Cloud and share their sleep apnea therapy information with both healthcare providers and service specialists. Simply take the Resmed Airsense 10 Auto out of airplane mode -- which won't record any data -- and your machine will save a detailed log of your most important information, all of which will be remotely accessible instantly. AirView installation and setup comes free with any purchase of an AirSense machine at RespShop. Get in touch with our customer service team for help setting up AirView, or read more about the Airview Data Service here.

Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR)

One of the features that set the S9 series apart from other CPAP lines was expiratory pressure relief, an algorithm that returns in the ResMed AirSense 10 Auto. EPR works by decreasing the machine's pressure at the onset of every breath you take, and then limiting that pressure throughout exhalation. Pressure will drop by one, two, or three cm of pressure, depending on your settings and personal preferences. These pressure changes are made gradually so as to not awaken you while you breathe throughout the night. EPR is also able to detect when you're having an unnatural breathing cycle. If an apnea should last for longer than ten seconds, EPR will stop until your normal breathing cycle resumes before returning to your preferred pressure setting.

Mask Fitting Feature

ResMed's AutoSet 10 is an intelligently designed CPAP machine, and it is capable of letting you know when you have a proper mask fit. The system can detect when your mask is leaking, and it will notify you with an affirmative symbol on your screen when your mask has been positioned properly. Similarly, if your mask is on incorrectly or is leaking significantly, the machine will alert you that you need to adjust your mask.

The AirSense 10 allows you to conveniently start your CPAP therapy with a single breath. Once you've programmed your settings into the device, all you need to do to commence your therapy is to turn the machine on and breathe into your mask. The ResMed CPAP machine also features SmartStop, which stops your machine when you pull your mask off in the morning.

Advanced Humidification

ResMed has overhauled their humidification system on the AirSense line. The humidifier comes with every machine -- users who dislike the humidifier have the option of not filling the water chamber or removing the humidifier entirely -- which helps to make the device a bit smaller and more portable than the S9 models. The water chamber can hold 380 ml of water and must be removed to be filled. Heated humidification helps to protect against the onset of undesired and tedious side effects of sleep apnea therapy, and ResMed's latest humidifier will help you avoid conditions like rainout and nasal congestion.

New Ramp Feature

ResMed tweaked the structure and function of the ramp feature for the AirSense 10 series. The ramp remains, but this time, ResMed is allowing you to set your ramp without starting pressure until you've fallen asleep. If you know you fall asleep anywhere in a 0-45 minute window, you can tell the machine to not start the ramp until you believe you'll be asleep. Then, the ramp will gradually increase pressure until the machine reaches your desired settings. This should allow you to fall asleep easily and naturally, particularly if you're new to CPAP therapy and are having problems falling asleep with a pressurized mask.

Easy Controls, Bright LCD Screen

Therapeutic accessibility continues to be a staple of the ResMed CPAP package. The AirSense 10 comes with ResMed's finest and most intuitive screen to date: it features a large button, easy to understand controls, and a simple interface. It features a colored and brightly lit LCD screen that can be seen easily before bed and during the night. The machine will automatically adjust screen brightness based on the available surrounding light.

(Optional) ClimateLineAir Tubing

The AirSense AutoSet is compatible with a new CliamteLine tube: this is a heated tube that connects your mask to the machine, and ensures that you'll breathe warm air all night long. The heated air fights some of the more unwanted symptoms associated with CPAP therapy, and virtually guarantees that you won't experience rainout.

Key Features

  • Features EPR for detection of apneas and unusual breathing episodes
  • New humidifier and breathing tube guards against unwanted symptoms
  • Get immediate feedback and troubleshooting help from trained representatives with the AirView data management system
  • Detects mask leaks before they happen
  • SmartStart and SmartStop allow for easy therapeutic transitions
  • Bright screen and intuitive controls
  • FAA approved

Reviewers Tip:

To use the AirView system, it is essential that you ensure you are not in airplane mode. The system does not track any of your data while you're in airplane mode, so if you're using that feature, you won't be able to retroactively access your information.

ResMed AirSense 10 Series

Is this a travel friendly machine? Is it heavy and can I remove the humidifier?

While not explicitly designed for travel, the AutoSet is actually a very transportable machine. The humidifier is completely removable too, so if you are short on space or just don't like the humidifier, you can disconnect it from the machine easily.

Am I allowed to bring my AirSense on a plane?

Yes you are: medical equipment does not count against an airline's luggage limit. Make sure that your machine is in airplane mode and that you don't fill your water chamber before the flight.

Will the old ClimateLine tubing work on the new AirSense 10?

No, the old ClimateLine tubing is not compatible with the latest machine. It features different prongs.

I've been using this machine for 16 months now and have experienced a number of benefits as follows:
1. My wife loves it because there is no more snoring from me. All she hears is a very quiet air noise.
2. No more acid reflux. I suspect that the continuous movement of air down my throat inhibits acidity from my stomach coming up. I think I first noticed that I was no longer taking Tums occasionally before going to bed after about 3 - 4 months.
3. Better sleep. I fall asleep quickly and get around 7.5 to 8 hours per night.
4. Sleep through the night without getting up in the middle of the night to go to the rest room. I first noticed this change after about 9 - 10 months of usage. Now after 16 months, I can't remember the last time I did not sleep uninterrupted through the night.
5. I don't feel tired during the day anymore. However, if I lay back in my reclining chair during the day, I will fall asleep. So I deliver myself from temptation by keeping busy unless I feel like a nap and since I'm retired it's OK.
6. A possible long-term benefit may be less likelihood of or delay of the onset of Alzheimers or other mental problems. Don't know but maybe there's research in this area.

I got my new Resmed 10 Elite about 2 months ago. Well I did return it. Here are the reasons I returned it.
1) Way too noisey ... every time you breathe it whisses with you ans it seams to get worst the longer you own the machine .
2) Water tank I find it is too small...Not as good as the 9. Have to fill every morning if you make it through the night.
They told me that this is not common on this machine . So they talked mr into another one ( Resmed 10 ). Well people this is the way they are built noisey and small tank. I will give it a couple of weeks and see , but I dought it will change. Wise me luck...

I have had my machine for about 2 years now. It works fine , I have it running wide open an the ramp set at 30 minutes. The only thing the machine don't do is to help me sleep all night. I sleep on my tummy most of the time . I built a hose manger to bolt on the back of the bed have a modified kitchen sink hose weight on it to keep it straight a not under me. I also ma some mask covers from t-shirt material because I did not like the plastic on my face and it stops the mask from leaking a lot.

Yes, the machine does work as advertised but the QUALITY of construction is nothing as compared to the Model 9 Series or even the S8. ResMed has cheapened out the machine to increase their margin. The design of the integrated water tank could not have been worse. The model 9 series was BUILT with no cost spared. I knew the day would finally come when even ResMed would start making snap-together plastic machines loaded with software "bells & whistles".

I find this machine too noisy, and I'm not fond of the wifi on it. I sorry I took this one and I don't think it will ever last 12 years like my old Fisher Paykel did. Buyer beware. It looks beautiful and sleek with a nice case, but the quality of the machine is not very good.

This is the best machine I have ever used since last 10 years. I also get sleep results on my iPhone daily I.e. How well I sleep and if there is any concern that needs attention. This way I am always on watch which makes me feel secured and comfortable. I love it.

I love this machine for its lightweight, quiet and electronic features. The previous CPAP machine I had doesn't compare to this one....sleep has never felt so good.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and my physician recommeded this machine to me. It is very ergonomic and quite compared to what I heard about CPAP machines. This has nice features that I'm still learning about daily. I will take it traveling.

As you know, ResMed just released four new CPAP machines called AirSense 10 recently. Out of the four, I found this machine is the best one that suits me. There are so many features that will keep me busy playing with my new toy! It has advanced auto-adjusting, sleep onset detection, wireless cloud computing, where my health provider can adjust my pressure settings remotely, etc. , built-in humidifier which I can turn it on or off if I wish not to use it, almost noiseless when in operation, the dial knob and button are lighted so I can see it at night. This is the best purchase I ever made in my life!

This machine comes with a built in humidifier and very lightweight. You have the option of turning the humidifier off if you don’t want to use it and just turn it back on when u do decide to use the humidifier. It comes with a wireless modem which allows you to transmit or share your therapy information to your healthcare provider. .Resmed 10 detect and let you know if you have the right mask for it, the system will also detect if your mask is leaking and it will also let you know with a symbol on your screen if your mask is positioned the right way. After trying 2 different machines for me this is top of the line and worth buying.

This machine is awesome, it doesn’t look like a medical device though look like an MP3 player in the room, has a built in humidifier insert in the machine and also has an option not to use the humidifier if you don’t want it, pretty much the same from the S9 Series machine but it has Data Plan offers to transmit data from provider, diagnose the machine, and change the settings wirelessly, I like the LCD Screen that gloss at night after few minutes turn off automatically because of the light sensor.
